About

Hello!

I’m James Singleton, and this is my blog.

I’m a software developer, author, engineer and entrepreneur. My background is in electrical and electronic engineering (in which I hold a first class degree), yet I’ve worked professionally in software development for well over a decade. Take a look at my projects page for more info.

I work in renewable energy tech, helping to build the green power revolution. The opinions on this blog are my own and not necessarily those of my clients/employers (although we align on a lot of things).

I’m the author of the book ASP.NET Core 2 High Performance and I’m active in the London startup and open source communities. I helped organise Cleanweb London events and I give talks, such as this one at Hacker News London.

On this site you will find write-ups of projects I’ve made, both hardware and software. Thoughts on coding and development practices. Tips on how to make technology work better, travel, visiting geeky stuff and lots more.

Feel free to leave comments on Hacker News, contact me or reach out on GitHub and Twitter.
